- Velcade® is administered as an injection into a vein, or under the skin. It must not be administered into spinal fluid
- If you’re taking medication that lower blood pressure, they may need to be adjusted as Velcade® can cause a drop in blood pressure
- If you have, or are at risk for, heart disease, you’ll need monitoring as Velcade® can cause or worsen heart rhythm issues and heart failure
- Velcade® can cause damage to the nerves (peripheral neuropathy)
- Velcade® can cause low levels of platelets and neutrophils
- Tell your doctor if you have liver problems before starting treatment with Velcade®
